Welcome to my Web site!

I successfully completed both "O" and "A" levels in Uganda Kampala; studying art at Makerere University where I obtained a diploma and then returned to Kenya to work for a while as a freelance artist.

Since 1997 I have been running my gallery in Cape Town in a little town, Simon's Town. After my long time survey, I decided to relocate my gallery to the wine route in particular Stellenbosch and Franshoek. There has been no regrets just the fact that from the tourist point of view, there,re frequently visited by lots of people around the world.

I now reside about twenty kilo metres away from Stellenbosch in another lovely village, Summerset West, surrounded by  great and beautiful mountains which to me is such an influence to my colours and figurations.

Batik as a technique has been my main theme however, since then I've been working with water colours as  in simple figures and oils. I juggle around in many different colour shades but my main shade of colours I mainly work in warm colours; by that I mean I may work in blues, greens and certain colour shades of one's choice.

Through experimental work, I've been able to do batik on the simplest paper known as fish and chips or in Germany they call it silk paper but mainly known as a newsprint. It's got such a lovely colour effect and quite popular among people that have visited my gallery. That invention took place about eight years ago and it has taken my work by storm. It has been my fastest selling concept followed by my water colours.

Painting or working as an artist for me has been such a relaxation and I've never regretted doing what I do because I enjoy and live it. For the past fifteen years my art has advanced from strength to strength. Each and every year, I feel compelled to move from style to style simply because I can't do the same thing on an annually basis. And by so doing this has given pleasure to my valid customers who can't resist collect my work every time of their visitation to this country.

Having listened to those that have visited my gallery, it has been such a boost where my creativity is concerned. There are those who may feel my work is good but then it does not suit their homes; reason being, the colours or figures would be too African. Therefore, I've decided to go more modern or contemporary. By so doing, it's been accommodative to both those who would feel they want something with an African touch and those who would love to have something that falls in between. So yes what a pleasure! my work and my profession as a whole is on the move. Those with positive criticism I've accepted them and have learnt a lot through them. I've treasured every one's comment in my guest book at my own leisure time, I've gone through it. It's a great honor, may God bless you so very much.
